A two-year warranty is provided for defective compressors.
However, this warranty can only be granted in the event of a manufacturing defect. We therefore provide you with instructions for replacement or replacement below. the first commissioning of compressors.
General safety instructions
Attention: Work on vehicle air conditioning systems may only be performed by persons who have the necessary expertise for the maintenance and repair of vehicle air conditioning systems.
Note: When working on vehicle air-conditioning systems, an air-conditioning service unit (eg ASC 1000 / 2000 / 3000) should always be used to prevent unintentional refrigerant being released into the air.
Note: Think of the necessary personal safety equipment such as safety glasses and safety gloves.
Operating Instructions
Disassemble the damaged compressor and determine the cause of the damage (compressor wear or other problems).
To do this, after draining the refrigerant via the air-conditioning service unit, dismantle the damaged compressor, remove the oil drain plug from the compressor and let the oil drain out.
Then check the oil level (colour, contamination ...). Make sure that all contaminants and foreign parts have been removed from the air conditioning system circuit. Therefore, flush the system before mounting the new compressor. Before rinsing, it is usually
refrigerant R134a suitable. Compressors, dryers (accumulators) and expansion valves resp. orifice tubes cannot be flushed. It is necessary to use special transition pieces.
In the event of compressor damage, the dryer (or accumulator) and the throttle valve (orifice tube) must always be replaced. The expansion valve must be checked for contamination and corrosion and, if necessary, repaired. will be replaced. In the event of compressor damage with splintering, always both the throttle and the
expansion valve must be replaced.
The supplied refrigerant compressors are suitable for different vehicles or vehicles. air conditioning systems used. It is therefore absolutely necessary to check the oil fill quantity and the viscosity before mounting the compressor and adjust if necessary. to correct. For this it is necessary to remove the oil drain plug from the spare compressor and to drain and collect the refrigerant oil completely. Then the new compressor must be refilled with the full amount of oil specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Before mounting, the compressor must be turned 10 times by hand, so that the oil can be evenly distributed in the compressor.
Note: The refrigerant oil removed from the spare compressor may be reintroduced.
Repair, evacuate and charge the refrigerant circuit after repair.
- used refrigerant oil must be regarded as hazardous waste.
- Observe the correct filling of the vehicle air-conditioning system via the high-pressure side (red filling hose) in systems with an expansion valve.
- supply the correct amount of refrigerant, the compressor may only be operated with the refrigerant R134a.
- make sure that the drive belt is “aligned” during installation. Start the air-conditioning system after filling.
Starting the engine with the compressor switched off
- Set the compressor to the lowest possible power level, mode “econ” or “A/C” off
- Switch on air conditioning system 8-10 times briefly (1 sec.)
- Wait for the idle speed to stabilize
- Switch on compressor and run the installation at idle speed for at least two minutes
- Check the pressure in the refrigerant circuit using an air-conditioning service station
- Turn off engine
Instruction in case of warranty
You must always return the compressor with closed suction and pressure nipples (insert the sealing plug of the new compressor), return the old dryer.
